1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the LinguaTales website and services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Service Description

LinguaTales provides an AI-powered platform for generating personalized, illustrated, multilingual children's stories based on user inputs.

3. User Accounts

You may need to register for an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service:

To generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.
To impersonate any person or entity.
To infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party.
To attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems or networks.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account for violating these terms.

5. Content Generation and Ownership

You provide the inputs (prompts) for story generation. While you guide the creation, the generated text and images are produced by AI models.

Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable fees (credits), LinguaTales grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the stories and images generated for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not use the generated content for commercial purposes, resell it, or claim ownership of the underlying AI models or the Service itself.

We make no warranties about the uniqueness, accuracy, or suitability of the generated content.

6. Credits and Payment

Access to certain features (e.g., generating stories beyond the free trial/allowance) requires credits. Credits can be purchased through the Service. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law.

Credit costs and usage rates are subject to change.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-provided prompts and AI-generated output, as licensed above), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of LinguaTales and its licensors.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. LinguaTales makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the Service, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall LinguaTales, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes.
